Nowadays everyone wants anti aging remedies and it can be difficult finding ones that you like and are not a gimmick. I find myself watching shows like Dr. Oz and then running to the store to get retin a because it's good for anti aging but its not always good for your skin. I made the mistake of slathering retin a under my chin and neck to obtain a firmer neck rather then let gravity take its course. Let's face it no one wants that to happen! Unfortunately I ended up with a large red rash that looked like a burn mark across my neck. It stung and itched and did not firm. Luckily scarves are in because I had to wear one for a few days. Bottom line you need to know your skin and what it can handle and don't shock it with some crazy product! I know my skin can be sensitive so why on earch did I put retin a all over?? I was influenced by tv magazines, internet. Since the Retin A did not work for my skin type (which it may work for you) I've been on the search to find some firming products. I came across Aveda's Green Science Lifting Serum. Yes it is a little pricey but I think it is worth it. First off I tested the product in a small area for 24hrs before I slathered it anywhere. No more raw skin for me! This is important check for irritation, hives, or a rash. If that occurs discontinue use. I did not have any reaction to the product and now I have been using it for just over a month and I like the results. I mainly rub it around my eyes and it has definently left my eyes less puffy and firmer. I put a thin layer across my face and neck before I apply my regular moisturizer. This is a keeper for me.
