Let’s talk April’s Ipsy bag! I know you're probably thinking where have you been?!! Yes I know I have been MIA on my blogging.. I apologize I blame it on the kids and work LOL. I mean look this is what I deal with when I'm trying to write this blog :)
Anyway I stopped getting the ipsy bag for a few months and I just started getting it again. After reviewing and researching other similar subscriptions I decided ipsy was still the way to go at just $10 a month. I’m quite the make up and skin care junkie but there is just so many products to choose from so I like that ipsy gives me a nice sampling of items to check out often by brands I already love.
Let’s talk about my goodies in April’s bag:
*My favorite item in the bag is the clay mask by Biorace. It identifies itself as poor tightening which I have to agree with. My skin felt fantastic after removing the mask and the dry flaky skin surrounding my pores cleared right up. I’m dealing with some crazy dry skin after giving birth to my daughter and typically clay masks are best for oily skin so I’m going to limit my use of this until my skin gets a little more back to normal. I’d definitely recommend this though!
*Trust Fund’s highlighter - I did not like at all! Sorry but it was far from a natural looking highlight and the best way to describe it - smeared silver. I thought I got it all off after trying it but later in the day my husband informed me I had some odd looking smudge on my face LOL glad I didn’t leave the house. Sorry Trust Fund I’ve liked your nail polishes but this highlighter in awful.
*NYX matte lip gloss - In my opinion the brand NYX does not get enough praise. It’s a great brand and very affordable. This was super easy to apply. I didn’t even use a liner first. Usually the matte stuff is a little trickier and not very forgiving once dry but I had no issue with this one. It also glided right on with a moisturizing feel instead of tough tar like some feel like. For me the color is ok. I would have went a little deeper for myself but I’d buy it again just in a different color.
*Meech & Mia loose eye shadow - This was ok. I’m personally not a big fan of loose shadow because it is messy but I do love the shine you get from them. This is super pigmented and super shiny so an A plus in that department but I hate the color. I don’t know what ipsy was thinking pairing me with this color. I think it would only be flattering to someone who is super tan hanging out on the beach!
*The brush by Ruby is well meh. I don’t love it and I don’t hate it but I certainly would not buy it. Crown brushes are still my favorite.
Can’t wait for May’s bag of goodies. I also have many other products to tell you all about from some of my shopping binges!
